Free painting and drawing classes for Cozumel public school children aged 6 to 12, with the Círculo Cultural Arcano.
The Circulo Cultural Arcano is a non-profit organization dedicated since 2003 to promoting culture and art in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Through the Art for Happy Children program, Cozumel public school children between the ages of 6 and 12 participate in free painting and drawing classes for almost three months.
The classes are taught by local artists and through them, the children learn about color, proportion, volume, tones, and shadows through drawing and painting, among other aspects of art. They also study art trends and the work of artists involved in those trends, discovering and fostering their own creative potential.
It is an experience that has left a lasting impact on the lives of each participating child beyond the realm of art.
